330 Madison Avenue
Part of a sweeping $100 million complete overhaul of 330 Madison Avenue, MdeAS designed a custom curtain wall system to be installed over the existing exterior wall. The new curtain wall is comprised of high performance insulated glass units, greatly enhancing the energy performance of the building envelope. Completing the transformation, MdeAS also expanded and renovated the lobby, introducing a palette of dark granite floors, beige marble walls and a uniquely designed ceiling and lighting system punctuated by a richly-veined marble feature wall.

The Beauty of Good Stone
MdeAS' design goal is to honor the truthfulness of each material by gaining a deeper understanding of its characteristics. If the stone is consistent, we use it for a background. If the stone is lively, we use it for a feature wall. In 330 Madison's case, we used Paonazzo Marble as the focal point of the lobby to exploit the material’s colorful veins which range from black to golden, violet to caramel.
