Dan is an internationally-recognized leader in commercial design for new and redeveloped buildings and serves as managing partner at MdeAS. With nearly four decades of experience, he provides creative, innovative architectural solutions, making him instrumental in the firm’s overall approach to design. His commitment to the philosophy of modernism and urbanism enlivens a building’s presence with integrity.
Having pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame and earned his graduate degree in architecture from Columbia University, Dan’s expertise has been honed through his involvement in the construction of over 50 million square feet of architectural marvels. Noteworthy achievements include the restoration of the iconic GM Building and its plaza, as well as spearheading the redevelopment of numerous prominent buildings along Bryant Park, Madison Avenue, and Park Avenue and most recently PENN 1 & PENN 2 of the PENN District.
Dan’s effective leadership grounds the firm while his design sensibility transcends trends to create timeless architecture. He has amassed a reputation of meeting and exceeding client goals by fostering a close partnership throughout the design process and continues to raise the caliber for the projects he brings to life. His consideration for the neighborhood makes him more than a monument builder but rather a fabric maker of a great city.
